Friends of the IDF “Guys Night Out” Brings Together 300 Supporters to Raise $100,000 For IDF Soldiers
The Ohio Chapter hosted its 2nd Annual “Guys’ Night Out” Event on Thursday, May 30th, at the Beechmont Country Club in Cleveland, OH. Around 300 FIDF supporters from across the Cleveland community came together at the event, which was sponsored by 45 different supporters, to enjoy a special night of dinner, raffles, casino games and philanthropy. By the end of the event, over $100,000 was raised for wellbeing and educational programs for IDF soldiers.
The casino night was co-chaired by Jared Miller and Jeff Cohen, two prominent supporters of FIDF.
"The Guy’s Night Out event supporting FIDF is truly a special night and it was a huge success! We attracted over 300 guys to support such a great cause,” said Miller. “Not only is the night full of entertainment and camaraderie, but it increases awareness for the FIDF and we raise meaningful funds that directly impact the soldiers’ lives. This is officially the Premier Men’s event on the Jewish Calendar in Cleveland."
Jeff Cohen added, “The event had a great vibe and the crowd had a lot of fun raising money for an important cause.”
The casino night is just one example of how FIDF fuses important philanthropy with fun and community.
Tamir Oppenheim, the FIDF Midwest Region Executive Director, said, “It is a thrill to have a bigger turnout each year, and it warms our hearts to see the huge support that the community shows for the brave soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces.”
“It was a phenomenal evening for all of the men supporting our IDF soldiers, but even more importantly, it was a great opportunity for all to make the statement that there can be no more important cause than supporting our troops in Israel,” added Irving Rosner, an FIDF supporter who attended the Casino Night.
