FRIENDS OF THE IDF RAISES OVER $110,000 AT “GUYS NIGHT OUT"
FIDF’s Central Region Lends Timely Support for Israel’s Soldiers in Annual Chicago Fundraiser
Chicago, IL, July 14 – The Chicago Jewish community came together last week to support the men and women of Israel’s army, at the annual “Guys Night Out” event hosted by Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF).
With Israel’s security very much on their minds, “Guys Night Out” participants raised over $110,000 for wellbeing programs benefiting the men and women of the IDF. The annual event allows local FIDF supporters to connect for a good cause, while sampling fine cigars, top-shelf bourbon, BBQ and casino-style gaming, at the Dana Hotel’s Vertigo Sky Lounge overlooking downtown Chicago. The event was co-chaired by Tom Kane and Louis Paster.
“Now more than ever, as supporters of the Jewish State, we must come together to contribute to the wellbeing of the brave heroes of Israel’s army, who are risking their lives to protect our ancestral homeland,” said Tom Kane, FIDF Central Region President and “Guys Night Out” Co-Chair. “The soldiers on the front lines need to know we have their backs.”
“We are thrilled with the turnout from last week’s event, and are committed to continuing our efforts in providing ongoing opportunities for IDF supporters in the Central Region to play their part for this crucial cause,” he added.
