Spiritual Needs Program
Providing for the spiritual wellbeing of IDF soldiers is an important aspect of FIDF’s mission. FIDF works closely with the IDF Rabbinate, which acts as the exclusive military Halachic authority and is in charge of all religious matters in the military.
Maintaining a Jewish moral code, the IDF continues the historic traditions and great spirit of the Jewish Nation. It upholds Jewish religious laws, dietary practices, marriage and burial services, prayers, and the celebration of holidays.
Through the Spiritual Needs Program, FIDF builds and furnishes synagogues on IDF bases, thus providing the space and means for soldiers to pray and observe Jewish practices.
Please contact your local chapter for more information about the Spiritual Needs Program.
