NY-Young Leadership

FIDF NY-Young Leadership (NY-YL) numbers over 10,000 young professionals in their 20s to late 30s from across the Tri-State region who represent a broad cross section of Jewish observance.

NY-YL is governed by a dedicated group of 40 volunteer Board Members who are responsible for programming outreach activities such as Shabbat Dinners and Parlor Meetings with visiting active duty IDF soldiers. NY-YL also hosts several fundraising events, such as the annual Purim, Beginning and End of Summer Parties.

NY-YL’s Annual Gala, which The New York Observer nicknamed “The Jewish Oscars”, is perhaps one of the most celebrated nights of New York City’s Jewish philanthropic calendar. The Gala attracts 1,500 young Tri-State area professionals who enjoy a night of dancing, live entertainment, delicious food, and casino-style gambling for over $50,000 in luxury raffle prizes.

NY-YL’s Annual Mission to Israel is the division's most important outreach initiative. Each summer, over 30 participants from around the US experience Israel and the IDF from the inside because FIDF coordinates unparalleled access to IDF bases, soldiers, and officials.
