The 2011-2012 $1 million Chapter Campaign is under way!

We are honored to officially announce our next 2-year campaign for the Westchester/Connecticut Chapter! As in past years, we are taking on a combination of projects and programs with the ultimate goal of helping as many IDF soldiers as possible.

The allocation for the campaign funds are as follows:

Expanded Wellbeing Center at Mishmar HaNegev for the Givati Infantry Brigade
Combination club, library, canteen and gym
1,076 sq. ft. serves up to 70 soldiers at a time
Cost: $555,000

$200,000 of financial aid for combat soldiers in-need through FIDF’s Dignity Program
IDF Top Priority Every Year!
Many of the young men and women in uniform serve their country proudly while privately they are struggling financially. The IDF cares for these soldiers at their military bases, but when on leave for the weekend or on a break they are frequently faced with their dire financial situation or that of their families. Additionally, soldiers often feel obligated to help their families, and feel pressure to drop out of the military in order to work. FIDF Dignity funds aim to ease this burden and allow the soldiers to serve with dignity.

$250,000 for Spirit R&R Weeks for 5 Battalions (totaling 3,000 soldiers on average)
Combat soldiers in these units face the most challenging mission - defending the State of Israel. The young men and women of the IDF need an outlet to release the stress from their exhausting daily routine. The SPIRIT Program provides every IDF combat unit and battalion with a week of relaxation, which does wonders to “recharge their batteries” and allows them to return to serve Israel with renewed strength, while also giving us an opportunity to show these heroic individuals how much we appreciate them.
