Michigan Chapter hosted its 18th Annual Gala
Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) Michigan Chapter’s Annual Gala Dinner raised more than $1 million for wellbeing programs for the brave men and women of the IDF. More than 850 FIDF supporters from across the state gathered at Congregation Shaarey Zedek in Walled Lake for the Gala, which honored Enid and Gary Goodman, and Teri and Mark Goodman.
Mark and Gary have traveled to Israel with FIDF missions and have seen first-hand how Israeli soldiers work tirelessly to protect the Jewish homeland and its people. They take great pride in being Jewish and supporting the local Jewish community, as well as the State of Israel.
A NIGHT OF SOLIDARITY TO ISRAEL'S SOLDIERS: FIDF CELEBRATES the 8th ANNUAL GUYS NIGHT OUT
Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) 8th annual Guys Night Out was held on Tuesday, June 17th at Tam-O-Shanter Country Club in West Bloomfield. The club was transformed into a guy's haven, with putting competitions, a cigar lounge, open air bars, food galore and a pool party.

Friends of the IDF celebrates 7th Annual Guys Night Out
On Thursday, April 25th, over 300 men gathered at Tam-O- Shanter Country Club in West Bloomfield to show solidarity with the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces and to have a good time at the FIDF Guys Night Out.

The Michigan Chapter Supports R&R Week for 527 Golani Soldiers
Thanks to the Michigan Chapter’s donors, 527 Golani soldiers IDF enjoyed a carefree one week break, allowing them to “recharge their batteries” and release their accumulated stress.

Capital Projects: Michigan Chapter is Proud of the YAMAM Sports Center
With much gratitude and in recognition of YAMAM Unit invaluable work, the Michigan FIDF chapter committed to funding the unit a Sport Center. YAMAM is Israel’s elite domestic hostage rescue and counter-terrorism unit. Established in 1974, as a unit of Israeli Border Guard, YAMAM was the response to the Maalot failed hostage rescue
Women’s Luncheon 2010
250 Michigan FIDF supporters attended the September 14, 2010 Women’s Luncheon held at Tam-O-Shanter Country Club. Since 2007, the luncheons’ proceeds from both silent and live auctions sponsored nine full IMPACT! scholarships

14th Annual Michigan Gala Dinner

FIDF Mission to Israel
On November 6, 2009, the Michigan Friends of the IDF embarked on what proved to be an unforgettable mission. This was no ordinary trip to Israel. Of course, the basic tourist sites were covered: Tour of the Old City, Ben Yehuda Street, Jerusalem nightlife, Yad Vashem, The Holocaust Museum, Masada, Dead Sea, Tel Aviv nightlife and Israeli wineries.
