FIDF Young Leadership 7th Annual Poker & Casino Night “The Glitz of Monte Carlo”

The Friends of the Israel Defense Forces Greater Miami Chapter Young Leadership Division, Dezer Development, Universal Insurance Inc., and Deusche Bank joined forces once again on Saturday, September 10th, 2011 to raise funds for Israel’s soldiers at the 7th Annual Poker Tournament & Casino Night.

The evening’s theme “The Glitz of Monte Carlo” made the event even more glamorous than ever. More than 900 guests in attendance enjoyed not only dining and dancing, and favorite casino games. They bid on silent auction items featuring original art work, sports memorabilia, furniture, and fine jewelry. The raffle prizes valued at nearly $20,000 handed out at the end of the evening ended the night on a high note. Our guests were fortunate to share this special evening with a group of 15 young soldiers who by chance happened to be in town. This was a unique opportunity to expose the crowd to the soldier’s they support.

This year’s proceeds of the evening went to the IMPACT! and Dignity programs.
The Greater Miami Chapter and our soldier’s are blessed to have such wonderful sponsors, local businesses and friends who support our soldiers year after year. This year’s poker tournament featured 150 poker players. Some call it luck others think he’s got talent; Daniel Ades of Kawa Capital won the $10,000 WSOP grand prize for the second year in a row. His friend Gabriela Weinstein took home a Gigantium Skeleton Krieger watch as our second place winner at the Holdem Tournament.
