Washington’s First Event features the IDF Ensemble

On December 13, 2011 FIDF Midatlantic held its first event featuring the IDF Musical Ensemble held at Adas Israel Congregation in Washington, D.C.  Rina Ribio and Sarah Avissar were the Co-Chairperson’s who coordinated a beautiful event that was filled with dancing and music.  There were over 300 people in attendance who all left smiling and thrilled to have been at their first FIDF event in Washington, D.C.  Cantor Aaron Marcus and Shai Tamari sang the National Anthems of Israel and the United States.  We were honored to listen to Major General Gadi Shamni, who spoke to our audience about the IDF.  The Ensemble was full of life motivating the audience to get up and dance.  Everyone was enthralled to hear our soldier Uri tell us his story of serving in the IDF.  It was a wonderful experience for all and a great way to show support for the FIDF.

We are looking forward to the next event for Washington area.
