Yom Ha’atzmaut Community Events 2017

On Tuesday May 2, Thursday  The Friends of the IDF Greater Miami Chapter (FIDF) took part in a large community celebration for Yom Ha’ atzmaut, Israel’s Independence Day, at the Michael-Anne Russell JCC in North Miami.

In honor of Israel’s 69th Anniversary and of Yom Hatzikaron, FIDF and many other Jewish Organizations came together to create a truly memorable Israeli festival. There were fire twirlers, traditional Israeli food, bounce houses, and much more! The theme of the event this year was Machane Yehuda, the Jerusalem Market. The FIDF had a booth with a unique craft activity for children to create. The kids colored, cut, and glued to create an IDF/FIDF mobile. The mobile had a soldier with an Israeli flag, the FIDF logo, and IDF insignia. The kids truly had a good time; creating their craft project that celebrated the soldiers of the IDF and Israel’s 69th birthday!
